Hayden Panettiere, 23, on starting a family: ‘I was born to be a mother’

Hayden Panettiere is a headline staple these days, both for her romantic reconciliation with boyfriend Wladmir Klitschko, and for her impressive beach body.
In her latest interview with the May issue of Glamour magazine, the 23-year-old rising star focuses on her personal success as an actress.

Panettiere seems to be on top of the world. With a slew of hit television shows and films, the "Nashville" starlet has managed to keep her young career moving positively forward, while others her age fail.
"I came up in the Messy Generation," she told the mag, out April 9. "The generation of the disaster child."

"It's not that I didn't go to clubs, have my picture taken," she added. "I was 16 years old. I was experimenting just like any kid. But I had friends and family around me to yank me back when I was heading in the wrong direction. "
"The thing that really saved me was that I still had that healthy fear of my parents -- I still had a midnight curfew at 18!"

With her hit primetime television show enjoying huge ratings, and her latest single from the show topping charts on iTunes, Panettiere embraces the influence she has had on young girls.
"I will never say that I'm perfect; I will never pretend to be perfect," she said. "That's just unrealistic. You're kind of unexpectedly put in this position of becoming a role model; that's not something you choose."

And on family -- Panettiere says she plans to one day be a mother. Whether with rumored fiancé Klitschko, 37, or not, the former "Heroes" actress says she was "born” to do it.
"I don't really have a plan. I've lived a very big life, and I don't feel my age, and I feel like I was born to be a mother.”
"Motherhood is the most beautiful, exciting thing, and there's nothing that I feel like I can't accomplish while having children in my life," she added. "I would sacrifice having more years of being wherever I want whenever I want for years with my kids."
